Freddie Beckmans

Fredie is a Dutch artist who thinks,  works and creates internationally.

In Austria he has already exhibited for the Ars Elektronika in Linz and for the Landesmuseum in the "Cultural Capital" Graz.

Fredie loves the change, the change of location. He has lived in Amsterdam, Berlin and London. His favorite subjects are the birds, nature and literature. One of the finest awards he has won is the Royal Prize for
Painting of Queen Beatrix in 1983.
Since then he calls himself Former
Court painter to the Dutch Queen.

Look-in-the-land

The oversized birdhouses in the small settlement have different bird names. One the names of the native birds, another the names of the native birds in dialect, the third the names of birds from all over the world. They live peacefully together because there is room for everyone.
