Curator 2022

Ute Ritschel

Ute Ritschel is the curator of the First International Forest Art Festival. The studied cultural anthropologist lives and works in Darmstadt. Since 1995 she has been the organizer and curator of the art biennial “Vogelfrei” in private gardens and parks in Darmstadt.

 

Ute is not only chairwoman of the Center for Art and Nature eV and since 2002 founding member of the Verein für Internationale Waldkunst eV  but also curator of 14 international forest art trails and 8 forest art conferences in Darmstadt, Wisconsin (USA) and Mount Lushan and Chengdu (China).  Ute Ritschel has been teaching Forest Art at the Evangelische Hochschule Darmstadt since 2008 and has been the director of the International Forest Art Center (IWZ) since 2009.
